Terms of use
What this is about
Vanro is a hiking and cycling route planner. By using the app you agree to these terms. How your data is handled is described in About.
Account
An account is optional. Without one, planning works locally in your browser. If you create an account, you are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. The account is intended for people aged 16 years and over. You can delete the account and all its data at any time in Profile › Account.
Community content
When you publish routes, photos, trail condition reports or comments, the following applies:
- You only publish content you have the right to, and you take responsibility for it.
- Unlawful, offensive, misleading content, or content violating others' privacy is forbidden (e.g. exact locations of other people's homes, personal data without consent).
- By publishing, you grant Vanro a non-exclusive right to show that content to others within the community part of the app. Authorship stays yours; you can withdraw or delete the content at any time.
- Vanro may hide or remove content that breaches these terms, or restrict an account. Reported content is reviewed; you can appeal against a takedown.
Send reports of inappropriate content or removal requests to feedback@vanro.sk.
Limitation of liability
Vanro is a planning aid, not an authority. Difficulty, time, exposure, weather, avalanche and other safety data are estimates and forecasts from public sources and can be incomplete or out of date. Always check the current state against official sources (e.g. hzs.sk, laviny.sk) and decide by your own experience and the real conditions. You go into the mountains at your own risk; Vanro is not liable for damage caused by relying on data in the app.
Changes to the terms
We may update these terms over time. For a substantial change we may ask for renewed consent. Send questions to feedback@vanro.sk.
